Raising smart, confident, and secure African American children …

As Black parents, one of the hardest things we have to face is how to bring up our children in a society that is not always welcoming or safe for them.

I wrote this book to start a conversation about our children and early childhood development. The early developmental stage is so important in a child’s life. It is the building block for the child’s future. The book also has many pictures of our beautiful Black children to keep you inspired.

  • Creola Atchison

I am a recent retired, Social Worker from the New York City Social Services system, where I worked for years with children and their families and the homeless population. However, for the next chapter in my life, I would like to write children books, and of course have them published.
